Alange presents a delicious and varied gastronomic offering. With the passing of the centuries, the differing cultures populating the region have each contributed to enrich the area’s typical gastronomy with the tastes and aromas of other eras.

One can enjoy traditional dishes from all over Extremadura, such as the popular migas (breadcrumbs) or caldereta (stew), frogs’ legs, snails, asparagus and scrambled eggs, not forgetting the well-known matanza (traditional pork butchery) that provides succulent meats and sausages. Deserving of special mention are the artisan-made pastries, themselves the subject of exhibitions.
