The establishment boasts idyllic facilities, as it is integrated into a Roman spa, with two domed circular baths still preserved, which have been declared National Monuments.

Thanks to the resurgence of the thermal culture in the 1970s, the Alange Spa began to gain significant importance. It was during this time that the facilities were updated, the gardens were expanded, the Varinia Serena hotel was built in 1989, and later the Gran Hotel Aqualange in 2006. Several years earlier, in 1993, the spa was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Today, it has become a significant thermal station that integrates Roman constructions with modern infrastructure, where traditional therapies are combined with the latest trends in wellness and hydrotherapy.
